Looking for a flavorful hole in the wall place? Look No Further! Terrebonne Po’ Boys is the place. LFK’s very own New Orleans Cajun food downtown. When you enter you are welcomed by a plush gator suspended from the ceiling. Surrounded by many handmade crochet blankets. Although the inside is compacted with 70’s styled diner tables and chairs. They have a roomy patio seating alongside the building. While taking in all of this places glory and decor, I happened to notice a sign that just spoke to me.

It’s a rather busy place with people coming and going. I noticed many people call their order in to-go. So if you plan on eating inside be prepared for people to be walking by frequently, looking at your food to see if its what they want. There is one spot that I wouldn’t recommend sitting. There’s a chair right behind the entrance door, so unless you want to get pelted by the door every time someone comes in.

I ordered the Crab cake Po’Boy (a Po’Boy is a traditional sandwich from Louisiana) and Cajun fries. I was worried about the Po’Boy as crab cakes tend to be “Bread-y”. To my surprise the cakes weren’t, they were soft (kind of mushy) with a crisp crispy outer. Although the sandwich was tasteful as a whole with the toasted french bread, tomato, lettuce, and sauce. It did lack the strong crab flavor that I admire. The fries were “lit” like they were fried in the sweat of a god. They crunched with perfection and the seasoning had a kick the more I ate. The portions and prices were great! I didn’t leave hungry that’s for sure. I actually had some to take home for later.

Can’t wait till the weather gets cooler so I can come back here to enjoy some gumbo. Whether it’s hot out and you want to grab a quick sandwich and fries or it’s cold and you want a nice bowl of gumbo. Terrebonne Po’Boys is the place to fulfill your hunger needs.
